An integral part of the Estudillo Oral Surgery team, Mahr Elder, DDS, MD, provides expertise in a number of oral and maxillofacial surgery specialties including facial trauma, oral pathology, biopsies, wisdom teeth removal, full mouth extractions, bone grafts, and more. 

Board certified, Dr. Elder holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific and his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University located in Michigan. After his medical training he completed his residency at the University of Detroit/Henry Ford Hospital before entering private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Outside of private practice, Dr. Elder is associated with Novato Community Hospital in Novato, California, and the Kaiser Hospital network. He stays up to date with the latest in dental procedures and technologies and is a member of a number of civic and professional organizations. 

An advocate for volunteer work and helping those less fortunate, Dr. Elder has provided oral surgery services in countries around the world. Here at home, he offers free orthodontic consultations and procedures to the youth of Marin County through the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation.
